Excel 2013 Trace Precedents On Another Sheet

When I view this tutorial page, I found the following:
Use Trace Precedents Choose a formula and click Trace Precedents. It is on the Formulas ribbon in Excel 2007 and the Tools - Formula Auditing menu in Excel 97-2003. Excel will draw blue arrows to show all the cells that flow into this cell.
The icon in the lower left means there were some off-sheet precedents. Double-click the dotted line to see the off-sheet precedents.
I clicked the dotted like to see the off-sheet precedents, and find it doesn't lead me directly to the cell, what's wrong with it?

Actually, an old Excel keyboard shortcut seems to work to trace a precedent on another worksheet: Ctrl+ (Control + left square bracket). This works on Linux and Windows, but I haven't been able to find a mac-equivalent - Command+ does not work. Show All Precedents. Excel natively traces precedents only for the active cell in a selection of multiple cells. In other words, Excel only shows you trace arrows for one cell at a time. On the Formulas tab of the Ribbon, Excel has some tools to show these relationships with arrows. With C11 selected, the Trace Precedents button shows that C8, C9, and C11 all contribute directly to the result. Use remove arrows to clear arrows off the screen. Dependents are formula cells that depend on other cells.
